Organization Announces National Judging Panel for Elite, Teen, and Junior Divisions

Washington, D.C. – The USA preliminary to Miss Earth will take place July 29-August 2 in the nation’s capital. Nearly 100 delegates will participate in activities. Today, US Earth Productions announced the judging panel for divisions of Elite, Teen and Junior Miss.

​

2016 national judges for ages 11-14, 14-18 and 26-32 include 2002 Miss USA Shauntay Hinton; The Pageant Planet’s Stephanie McGrane; Best selling author Brian Boesche; Top 10 Ms United States 2014 Jocelyn Riebe; and 2013 Miss Asian American Emily Giovinazzo. Preliminary judges for these divisions also include 2011 Miss America Teresa Scanlan; 2015 Pageant Fitness Trainer of the Year John Morris; CEO of Planet Beach Spa Stephen P. Smith, and 2015 Miss Earth-Fire Thiessa Sickert of Brazil. Emcee for the divisional finals taking place on August 2 is The Pageant Planet’s founder Steven Roddy. Special guests include 2015 Miss Earth Angelia Ong of the Philippines.

State delegates were selected based on leadership skills, photographs, and interview. They represent their state or region throughout the year, appearing in the community as well as fashion and media events.

 

National activities include environmental activism on the National Mall, presentation by Climate Reality Leaders, and red carpet treatment at the August 1 finals of Miss Earth United States for ages 18-26, the official preliminary to Miss Earth. Competitions open to the public include runway, swim/summerwear, and evening gown. The delegates are also evaluated on judge interview and photogenic.

 

During the final coronation on August 2 at the Synetic Theater in Arlington, three outgoing queens will give their farewells: Elite Miss Earth United States Vincenza Carrieri-Russo of Delaware, Teen Miss Earth United States Alyssa Klinzing of Kansas, and Junior Miss Earth United States Jaden Johnson of Virginia. 

 

Winners in these divisions receive international travel opportunities; sign a Bazaar Models contract allowing them to walk in El Paso Fashion Week; conduct multiple photo shoots; represent the Miss Earth Organization during Earth Day activities in Washington, DC; receive prizes from Mac Duggal, Arbonne, Marc DeFang, Noyah, Vizcaya Swimwear and more. The Teen and Junior Miss delegates receive a $1,000 college scholarship.

Young women ages 15-34 are invited to apply for Miss Earth United States, sending the winner age 19-26 to MISS EARTH, winner age 15-19 to MISS TEEN EARTH INTERNATIONAL and winner of 26-34 to MS EARTH!
