
MISS EARTH UNITED STATES 2017
ANDREIA GIBAU

Massachusetts beauty Andreia Gibau was crowned as Miss Earth United States 2017 in the crowning event held on 5th August 2017 in Virginia. She succeeds last year's Miss Earth Fire 2017 and Miss Earth United States 2016 Corrin Stellakis. 22-year-old Andreia represented the United States at this year's Miss Earth pageant held in the Philippines on November 4, 2017.
Andreia recently graduated from St. John’s University in New York with a degree in public relations. She previously held the title of Miss Teen United States and was first runner up at Miss New York USA 2017.
This fall, Gibau traveled throughout the Philippines for four weeks while she represented the USA at Miss Earth. Congratulations to Andreia's Top 16 placement out of nearly 90 national delegates. Throughout her reign, Gibau will travel extensively in the United States to model for popular pageant brands, as well as support environmental campaigns for organizations including Climate Reality and World Missions Outreach.
Gibau says she competes in pageants, “To give me a voice to inspire and talk about things that I believe in.” She will dedicate time to visiting schools around the country teaching ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.
This new earth warrior is fluent in four languages. Andreia works in entertainment/ fashion industry and also teaches self-development to kids. She was also one of Phoenix Magazine’s “30 under 30” for her philanthropic work, making it to their front cover.
